David Murray

David is an Internationally experienced sales, marketing and corporate development executive with outstanding C level relationships in Fortune 1000 firms with a broad range of industry experience in technology such as software, digital, commerce, payments, financial services, energy, chemicals and consulting.

David spent first 13 years of his career in sales and marketing roles with Exxon and Royal Dutch Shell, rising to become Global Marketing Manager for Shell Chemicals. Since 2000 he was CEO to four technology ventures either as a founder or investor-appointed in turnaround roles. And he has assisted a number of clients in operational sales roles as an interim executive, typically for 6-18 months.

Since founding Argento Partners David was mentored over 30 start-up and expansion stage companies. David worked with Ireland’s gold star sales development program specifically for CEOs, the International Selling Program at DIT. David also holds a patent on product recyclability from his time at Shell. He has authored 9 publications in business strategy, sales and marketing.

He received his Bachelor of Business Studies (Marketing Management) from Dublin City University, Ireland’s leading technological institute. Subsequently he went to study with various business schools and leading professors at Harvard, Wharton, Columbia, IMD and INSEAD Paris.
